As a General Maintenance Engineer at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you will help ensure that our facility operates at its best, providing top-notch care to our patients. Every day, you will work to maintain and repair our facility's equipment, systems, and infrastructure, ensuring that they operate efficiently and safely. You will be expected to troubleshoot and diagnose any issues that arise, and perform regular preventative maintenance to keep our systems running smoothly. To be successful in this role, you must have experience in general maintenance and repair, as well as knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. You should be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, and have strong problem-solving skills. Additionally, you should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
Performs a variety of duties in and around the Hospital complex relating to building operations and maintenanceperforms duties relating to carpentry and painting when requiredassists tradesmen and other workmen in completing their taskscompletes repairs on maintenance machinery and mechanical equipment
Qualifications
Minimum
High School Diploma/GED
Knowledge in one or more of the following: building maintenance techniques mechanical systems i.e. steam and hot water boilers air conditioning systems plumbing heating systems sanitation refrigeration electrical systems carpentry and painting techniques.Courses in basic building operations maintenance carpentry or painting trades and/or equivalent experience or training in one or more of the above trades
One year of experience in one or more of the trades; may consider experience performing related mechanical and/or electrical work including troubleshooting skills
Basic computer literacy and proficiency
