Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations

Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment

Perform general carpentry, painting, and minor construction tasks

Maintain and repair HVAC systems

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes

Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

3+ years of experience in general maintenance or facilities management

Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC

Proficiency in using various hand and power tools

Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication

Valid driver's license

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in facilities management or related field

Certifications in specific trade areas (e.g., HVAC, electrical)

Experience with building automation systems

Knowledge of energy conservation practices

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces

Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods

Work Environment:

May require working in various weather conditions

On-call availability for emergency situations

Occasional overtime may be necessary
