General Maintenance Technician - Engineering Department
Weekly Hours: 40
Shift: Days
Status: Full Time
Job Summary:
Handle routine and emergency maintenance calls for complex and keeps routine watch over operating condition of HVAC, electric, plumbing and medical systems in the facilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.
1. Responds to all maintenance and emergency calls making all repairs with own ability.
2. Make routine rounds taking readings on all mechanical and electrical equipment.
3. Trouble shoots failed equipment, repairs what he can; contacts supervisor to call in help as needed.
4. All other duties assigned by supervisor or department director.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
A. High School Diploma or equivalent
B. Two years general maintenance experience preferred
C. Adequate knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Carpentry
