What this job involves: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Maintenance Technician / HVAC professional to join our team in El Paso. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the general upkeep, repairs, and equipment inspections within our pharmaceutical manufacturing and office facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance, HVAC systems, and safety protocols. Your daily tasks will include performing general maintenance, conducting preventive maintenance, managing tools and supplies, and maintaining accurate documentation. This position requires availability for on-call work and a flexible schedule, including Saturdays.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform general maintenance on facility equipment safely and professionally.Assist in basic troubleshooting and maintenance of HVAC components, particularly air handlers and humidification systems.Conduct preventive maintenance, including tool mobilization, minimizing disruptions, and immediate cleanup.Perform routine inspections of general building equipment, including air compressors and lighting systems.Respond to maintenance calls and prioritize issues.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all system repairs and changes.Manage tools and supplies for installations and repairs.Maintain some knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) for basic monitoring and reporting.Adhere to safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and refrigerants.Collaborate with other maintenance team members on various projects.Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and technologies.Communicate effectively with facility management regarding maintenance activities.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations related to facility maintenance.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Work Schedule: Work Schedule: Mon-Fri: 8AM-4PM Sat: 8AM-1PM

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
Universal HVAC certificationExperience in GMP environments.Background in maintaining high-tech or modern facilities.Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma or equivalentTwo years of related trade schooling or equivalent experience.Experience with general building equipment, air handlers, humidification systems, air compressors, lighting, and basic electrical systems.Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency with electric hand tools and ability to work on ladders, carry tools, lift heavy loads, and operate required equipment.Estimated total compensation for this position:
46,500.00 - $48,000.00 USD per year
