Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a General Maintenance Technician with Plumbing experience in Golden, CO.
The Technician will report daily to the GMT supervisor and support him to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. Qualified applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance in dealing with a wide range of general type services. Perform preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot and service of commercial and industrial plumbing and piping systems. Troubleshooting drain and sewer issues, drain cleaning and clearing, Camera, jet and auger lines, Light plumbing, Equipment maintenance Candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance and service of drain lines, leaks, back flows, hot water systems, boilers, etc. for on demand and scheduled request Plumbing skills, Lavatory sinks sets, restroom fixtures, clean drains. Install piping, water lines, compressed air line, drain lines, and process piping systems in accordance with established standards Preforms preventative maintenance, HVAC equipment, and electrical systems. Communicates effectively with GMT supervisor to determine service needs. Assisting in outdoor snow removal details by shoveling salting and running snow equipment. Assist the electrician in all functions and follow necessary safety norms and regulations. Assist the Plumbing GMT in all functions and follow necessary safety norms and regulationsQualifications:
High school diploma or GED
3 years of experience related to facility maintenance. 4 plus years of verifiable plumbing experience working in plumbing service & remodel field.
Colorado State Plumbing Journeyman License
Valid US driver’s license.
Must be 21 Years of Age or older
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of an organization.
General maintenance and repairs in the areas of plumbing, painting
Knowledge of plumbing systems
Backflow certification preferred
Competencies:
Competently maintains, troubleshoots, and performs substantial equipment repairs. Works independently, and as part of the facilities maintenance team to:
Must maintain a professional appearance and have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of electrical, painting/patching walls, cutting & replacement of ceiling tiles, basic carpentry and furniture repair skills.
Ability to follow instructions and complete a variety of general maintenance type tasks assigned. Hang pictures and stocking of the supply room shelves.
Basic use of computer skills for reporting, researching and effective communication.
Organization skills to maintain the client facility maintenance records and reports.

Work Environment:
The work environment is an industrial environment most of the duration. A clean and professional appearance is required at all times with casual dress requirements. Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills are a must. Must be willing to work overtime when required and may be required to work holidays and/or weekends at times. We are responsible for snow removal and there are times in the Winter season when most of the day is spent outdoors in cold/snow conditions. We are also responsible for landscaping and there are times in the summer season when time is spent outdoors in hot/sunny conditions.
