General Manager, Repair & Logistics Operations

The General Manager, Repair & Logistics Operations reports directly to the VP, DCC Operations and will lead and manage within a fast-paced, high volume (~8000+ SKUs) reverse and repair logistics environment. In this role they will be responsible for overseeing all areas of operational processes to produce products and direct activities so that approved products are manufactured on-schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. The GM will lead and drive a sense of urgency to ensure that operational plans and SLAs are executed, and budgets are set and achieved. They will quickly establish themselves as an engaging and inclusive leader with ownership of the team’s ability to maximize its productivity, growth, and development. They will create a positive work environment through real-time observations and specific, constructive, and actionable feedback. They will leverage the use of Lean principles. Six Sigma and other activities to understand and fine-tune the operation while having a customer-centric mindset.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Maintain a high level of customer service with internal and external customers and ensure that processes and procedures are accountable and transparent, and include all required information and documentation Develop the operational plans and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards Ensure operational excellence in all facets of production and forward and reverse logistics liquidation Generate, implement, and execute strategies to effectively manage the overall quality control of various activities with regards to product manufacturing Drive process discipline and continuous improvement across the manufacturing organization Oversee the development and implementation of evaluation and monitoring of warehousing, logistics and distribution supply chain network Ensure the business and regulatory requirements are being met Develop and formulate long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives Create a culture of engagement, respect and empowerment for our employees Achieve optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan Work across departments in support of seamless operation to develop common requirements and business processes Develop processes and tools for the collection, flow and use of quantitative and qualitative data for informed decision making at all levels Perform other duties as assigned and contribute to the success of Assurant

What are the requirements needed for this position?

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Logistics or related field A minimum of 15 years senior level operations or supply chain management experience 10 years of experience managing teams with demonstrated ability to implement manufacturing and production strategies Oversight of 3 shifts

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

Previously worked in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Working knowledge and understanding of MRP/ERP systems, WIP & Planning Requires the ability to direct and manage multiple teams Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of Company personnel as well as external personnel Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously High level of customer interaction; frequent interruptions and re-prioritization of projects based upon customer needs, working under deadlines, creative Demonstrated success in a leadership role in strategic manufacturing with wireless industry experience Prefer advanced process design and engineering skills Demonstrated ability to manage the P&L of a multi-million dollar business Proven ability to build and manage team of individuals in the Supply Chain and manufacturing and repair space Advanced problem solving skills Proven ability to manage within a rapidly changing, high intensity business environment Proven effective communications skills leveraged internally and with external clients Excellent analytical skills Demonstrated strategic planning and financial projection skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Must have working knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Order Management Systems (OMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and parcel management systems
Pay Range

$192,200.00 - $320,800.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
