General Manager

Position

As a General Manager, you will be the leader of your restaurant's Success! You will lead your Restaurant Management Team and Team Members through performance, engagement, and training initiatives. Great hiring, training, and retention are key to reaching sales and profit goals.

Requirements

A minimum of 2+ years in food service management and a Serve Safe Certification is a plus (training may be provided to the right candidate to get certified)Applicants should have strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasksApplicant should have experience with inventory, cost controls, and cash handling.Applicants should be ready and willing to do all interviewing, hiring, and terminationsApplicants will be expected to run the store as if it were their own business with an eye to the bottom line


Responsibilities

General Managers are responsible for all aspects of the operationYou will be tasked with hiring, scheduling, and trainingYou will be expected to understand and manage cash and food controlsOur General Managers are expected to work alongside their teamsP & L responsibility includes forecasting of sales, controllable profit, and making adjustments as business conditions indicateEnsures product quality at all times and presents an appearance of cleanliness in the restaurant and the teamManages the hiring and developing of restaurant personnelMaintains applicant tracking as per federal requirementsDevelops and maintains an acceptable level of salesManages restaurant cash control by making bank deposits and maintaining an accurate restaurant change fundReports and controls restaurant inventory through established inventory systemsMaintains sufficient stock by ordering, receiving, and accounting for all supplies (dry goods, perishables and certain items of equipment)Utilizes a preventive maintenance system, ensuring adequate repair of buildings and equipment as neededEnsures adequate staffing by scheduling and using manpower controls systemsMaintains and submits daily/weekly/period-ending/special reports as requestedProjects a professional presence in the restaurant community by being active in community and civic projectsAttends special meetings as scheduled by the Area ManagerConducts restaurant meetings at least twice each period for the purpose of planning, training, and reviewing operations/management procedures and policiesResponsible for maintaining all hourly personnel files in accordance with federal, state, and local law

Consistently carries products/boxes and miscellaneous weighing no more than 70 poundsOccasionally climbs ladders to the roof to check A/C exhaust fanConsistently operates registers, calculator, Norand, Fastfax, mail, and productConsistently handles product preparationConsistently communicate with employees, customers, and suppliersConsistently kneels to utilize proper lifting procedures and to open safeRegularly lifts for product preparation, stocking, and inventoryConsistently pushes to open and close door to store and storage shed and office as well as cooler and freezersConsistently reaches for product preparation and serving customers and trainingConsistently sees during all activitiesRarely sits during the preparation of reports and bank depositsFrequently stands while serving customers and trainingFrequently stoops to pick up supplies and trashConsistently talks to employees, customers, suppliers, and company representatives
