Job Title: General Manager
The General Manager will oversee all operations of a leading venue, ensuring exceptional service delivery, financial growth, and operational efficiency. The role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance the venue’s market position.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve organizational goals. Oversee daily operations and ensure seamless service delivery. Manage financial performance, including budgeting, revenue generation, and cost control. Lead and mentor a high-performing team to ensure staff engagement and development. Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Oversee event planning, execution, and risk management to exceed client expectations. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Requirements 8+ years in hospitality management, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles. Proven experience managing large-scale venues or convention centers. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related fields. Knowledge of South African labour laws and industry regulations. Strong leadership, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities. Financial acumen and budgeting expertise.
