General Manager
The General Manager at this contract plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of the scheduling and dispatching center and acting as a bridge between the client, Transdev, and regulatory bodies while managing internal resources and partners effectively. This General Manager will bear the responsibility for the overall operational tasks of the location. This includes but is not limited to, the delivery of safe and reliable service to our customers, employee oversight, and client and customer satisfaction. This position is based in Atlanta, GA, at our MARTA location.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Act as the dedicated client liaison for the scheduling center contract with 24/7 decision-making authority and coordination capabilities
+ Operate services in alignment with client-established plans, policies, and budgets while ensuring compliance with all Transdev standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
+ Lead and oversee Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) partnership management and integration
+ Direct all centralized scheduling and dispatching center operations, including workforce management, resource optimization, and service delivery excellence
+ Foster proactive client relationships through regular communication, collaborative problem-solving, and responsive issue resolution
+ Leverage data analytics to track key performance metrics (on-time performance, call center response times, dispatcher efficiency rates, vehicle utilization percentages) and implement strategic improvements that enhance operational efficiency
+ Monitor and analyze scheduling efficiency metrics including deadhead percentage, vehicle hours per trip, and cost per revenue hour to optimize resource allocation
+ Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems that provide actionable insights on customer satisfaction scores, service reliability indices, and financial performance indicators
+ Generate and interpret quarterly trend analyses for call volume patterns, peak demand periods, and geographic service distribution to inform strategic planning
+ Identify opportunities for technological advancement and process innovation to streamline operations and enhance customer experience
+ Manage budget and financial resources effectively while seeking cost-saving opportunities that maintain service quality
+ Ensuring adequate training of both new and existing employees to perform at required service levels.
+ Cultivate a positive workplace culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
+ Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred.
+ 5+ years of management and supervisory experience specifically in public fixed-route transportation and paratransit operations.
+ This person must be tech savvy and able to put together reports, read and summarize data through excel and other systems on a daily basis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Experience in labor relations and working with unions
+ Knowledge of relevant employment laws at federal and state levels
+ Thorough understanding of transit operations, regulations, laws and ordinances governing the industry
+ Expertise in managing operations across multiple locations, cost control and financial/budgeting
+ Strong communication skills (written, oral, presentations) to effectively influence at all levels
+ Ability to organize work, attention to detail, efficiency
+ Skilled in labor negotiations, grievance handling
+ Experience with Trapeze or other dispatch related software programs preferred
+ Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
+ The GM is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
+ Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
