Position Overview\n

As the General Manager of eCommerce, you will be a key leader within our dynamic and forward-thinking organization. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and owning the Profit and Loss (P&L) for our eCommerce division. Core to GOVMINT business strategy is building a personal relationship with customers. Critical to growth in our ecommerce channel will be expanding and scaling the relationship model through a growing set of digital, off-line and human capabilities. A major focus in this channel will be developing and implementing initiatives that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create a more efficient and personalized customer experience.\n

Key Responsibilities\n

Revenue Generation:\n\nDevelop and execute a comprehensive eCommerce strategy to drive revenue growth through online sales, while maintaining a strong focus on customer acquisition and retention.\nCatalog Growth and Differentiation: Direct Merchant Team to help build the best, most differentiated product in the marketplace.\nOwn the eCommerce launch and promotion calendar optimizing price and assortment to maximize sales and profitability.\n\n

P&L Ownership:\n\nTake full ownership of the P&L for the eCommerce division, with accountability for financial targets, budgeting, and cost management.\nImplement cost-effective strategies to enhance profitability and ensure the business meets or exceeds financial targets.\nRegularly analyze financial performance, customer insights, product and category performance and report on key metrics, and adapt strategies as necessary to achieve financial objectives.\n\n

Customer Experience:\n\nContinuously improve the online customer experience, focusing on user interface, site functionality, and ease of navigation.\nImplement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, leading to increased sales and repeat business.\n\n

Team Leadership:\n\nLead a high-performing cross-functional eCommerce team including direct reports and non-reports ensuring prioritization of initiatives in alignment with the eCommerce Strategy.\nInfluence cross functional partnerships in Marketing, Sales and Product to ensure success in the eCommerce Strategy.\nLead direct-reporting merchant(s) in creation of a well-defined product\/price assortment architecture complete with a framework to track and analyze performance.\n\n

AI and Technology Innovation:\n\nLead the development and execution of initiatives that utilize AI to enhance the eCommerce platform. This includes personalized customer interactions, predictive analytics, and streamlined operations to best utilize a human touch in service and sales.\nStay current with eCommerce technology trends and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.\nCollaborate with Digital Solutions team to ensure the eCommerce platform remains efficient, secure, and adaptable to evolving market demands.\n\n

Market Analysis:\n\nMonitor the competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer feedback to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge.\nConduct regular market research and analysis to identify opportunities and threats.\n\n

Additional Functions, Duties & Accountabilities\n\nMaintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs, including an in-office and from home hybrid work environment.\nActively and positively contribute to the overall success of the company and team through regular contributions to the general management of the company.\nSupport the company and other departments wherever and whenever your skills and experience would be beneficial.\nUphold and promote AMS's values of Integrity, Creativity, and Collaboration in all relationships with customers, suppliers, fellow employees, and other stakeholders.\nEnsure the confidentiality and full and complete safeguarding of the company's trade secrets and any of our customer lists and related records.\n\n

Educational Requirements\n\nFour-year degree in marketing, business, communications, or other related area of study.\nDigital eCommerce training, certificates, etc. a plus.\n\n

Experience and Skills\n\nExperience managing full P&L in a retail or consumer brand business required.\n7+ years of experience partnering with buyers in a high-volume direct marketing or retail environment driving volume\/margin while managing inventory levels on thousands of items on two websites and on eBay.\nStrong understanding of using reporting\/data query tools (Access, Oracle SQL, Power BI, D365, etc.) to inform decisions is required.\nExperience with eCommerce platforms\/content management systems such as Magento. Shopify, eBay, not required but highly desirable.\nExperience using site analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or equivalent not required but highly desirable.\nInnovative, solid critical thinker with business-creative capabilities combined with a strong analytical and numbers-orientated approach to metrics. Must understand how data\/analysis can help drive improved volume, balancing stock while also driving conversions, new customers, sales and margin.\nProven ability to build consensus\/relationships with ability to generate alignment and drive key issues to resolution and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.\nExperience and skills in influencing, coordinating and working with individuals in multiple functional areas.\nDeep experience with Excel is a must, while basic use of Word and Outlook, etc. is required.\n\n

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\n\nTrack-record of quickly learning what sells\/interests customers across different businesses\/product lines is a big plus\nExperience in the collectibles space not required but highly desirable\n\n
