THE ROLE

Then join Legends as our General Manager with our San Diego State Athletics partnership.

The General Manager will lead the Legends engagement on the ground at San Diego State Athletics, while reporting to the Vice President, Legends Collegiate Partnerships. This seasoned professional must be comfortable communicating across multiple areas of the business and will work closely with both San Diego State’s Athletic Department and the Legends leadership teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing an annual and long-term strategic plan to growth revenue and participation for ticketing across all sports, premium seating and Aztec Club annual giving programs.

The General Manager will work in conjunction with the SDSU Athletics Ticketing Operations, Development, Marketing and Communication, Partnerships teams and more to plan and execute holistic ticketing, premium seating, and philanthropic campaigns through a variety of communication channels. The General Manager should be results driven, possess an optimistic team-first attitude, have excellent organizational and leadership skills, and a desire to be the best.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as primary liaison and steward of relationship between Legends and SDSU Athletics Leadership. Additionally, develop relationships with other departments within the SDSU Athletic Department including Ticket Operations, Marketing and Communications, Development Partnerships and other External Relations units to ensure a robust, donor-centric approach to all premium seating, ticket sales and fundraising efforts. Bring innovative revenue-generating ideas to enhance ticketing, fundraising, and premium offerings, creating diverse experiences to support the lifestyle of every Aztec fan and supporter. Support in ideating, developing, and executing marketing content and finding new ways to apply data that increases fundraising, premium seating and ticket sales for SDSU Athletics—With the overall goal of maximizing ticketing and donation revenue, and increasing donor participation. Collaborate with the Manager, Data & Analytics, Manager, Digital Marketing and others to strategically track and analyze results of campaigns in order to optimize opportunities and efficiencies. Collaborate with department leadership to establish annual campaign goals. Strategize, maintain, and execute a six-month sales and communications timeline using diverse channels of communication, with the ability to pivot and adjust in a rapidly changing industry. Create quantitative & qualitative weekly and quarterly reports to highlight wins, losses, and key learnings. Recruit, hire, assist, train, and mentor team members on strategy, call scripts, sales presentations, and closing of sales. Utilize CRM system to manage campaigns, pipelines, sales process, and activity. Manage and lead all business units and individuals within our team to ensure they are meeting and exceeding all outlined goals and responsibilities. Participate in events, promotions, client entertainment, and other activities as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE      Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. 6-8 years sales and management experience selling five and six-figure deals in the sports and entertainment industry. Experience within Professional or Athletic Department premium seating, ticket sales and / or development organizations preferred. Experience overseeing sales staff at a professional or collegiate sports level. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proficient in CRM (Salesforce) and ticketing platforms (Ticketmaster & Archtics). Candidates should possess both personal and professional communication skills to interface with all levels of a company, both internally and externally. Ability to strategize towards achieving big picture initiatives while possessing necessary attention to detail to ensure high level execution each step of the way. Data and analytics minded sales leader. Motivated self-starter, with exceptional organization, strategic thinking and personal leadership skills. Strong problem-solving skills and general creativity. Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays. COMPENSATION

Competitive salary range $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 plus bonus potential commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
