This individual is responsible for executing safe and effective operations that meet the needs of the organization and its employees. The GM will lead a workforce of ~500 team members distributing goods to Academy stores in various locations.Job Description:Education:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or other relevant field or equivalent years of work experience required.Work Experiences:
At least seven years of warehouse management experience requiredDemonstrated success in operations and people leadershipExperience managing budget and P&LSkills:
Strong aptitude to think critically, solve problems and drive improvements in a professional and respectful mannerStrong knowledge of production and inventory control theories and practicesFunctional knowledge and expertise in distribution center operations, inbound/outbound logistics and warehousingExperience with P&LDemonstrated experience and success in delivering on KPIsKnowledge of and ability to drive compliance to safety standards, quality specifications and governmental requirementsExceptional organization, attention to detail and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Powerpoint; experience with RF Warehouse Management SystemsResponsibilities:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the DC’s financial, operational, people, process and service objectives to drive results and alignment to long range planInteract with business partners to drive results and deliver solutions including Supply Chain, Stores, Merchandising, Finance, Human Resources and Loss PreventionManage all DC equipment and facilities maintenance programsDrive innovation and process improvement in all areas of DC operations aligned to the organization’s long range planResponsible for managing DC safety initiatives and programs and upholding safety standardsOther duties as assigned and valued by executive leadershipPhysical Requirements & Attendance
