The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a (Board Certified/Board Eligible) Non-Invasive Cardiologist with a focus on Advanced Imaging.
This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients in an outpatient ambulatory setting, while utilizing cutting-edge advanced imaging technologies to diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. The position includes responsibilities for inpatient service and participation in weekend and night call rotations. The ideal candidate will have experience in Advanced Imaging, a passion for patient care, and an interest in teaching the next generation of cardiology professionals. Candidates with a special interest in an area of cardiac imaging such as structural heart, cardiac MR or CT are welcome to apply and will be supported to grow their area of interest.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiovascular imaging studies, including echocardiography, cardiac MRI, CT angiography, and stress testing to diagnose and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular disease, and arrhythmias in an academic and high clinical volume setting.
Participate in inpatient services, managing hospitalized patients with acute cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, and post-operative care.
Participate in weekend and night call rotations, responding to emergent cardiology needs and ensuring quality care for hospitalized patients.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, surgeons, and specialists to deliver comprehensive care for complex cardiovascular patients.
Employ advanced imaging to guide treatment decisions, assess risk, and plan interventions, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients.
Supervise and provide clinical education to cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students, with a focus on advanced imaging techniques and clinical decision-making in cardiology.
Contribute to weekend and night call coverage, ensuring timely care for emergent cardiology cases.
Engage in cardiac imaging procedures such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac CT, when appropriate.
Participate in academic activities including case discussions, conferences, and lectures.
