General Operator/Batch Maker– Milton ON Canada
Hours of Work – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – 4:30PM – 5:30AM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PPE to be used:
Standard PPE: Chemical gloves, chemical goggles, safety glasses, steel toe work boots, half face respirator and/or full-face respirator. Rubber apron and protective sleeves – optional.
Perform the following duties, to include but not limited to:
Washing equipment (tanks, pumps, piping and tools)
Loading various size tanks from 5 to 2500-gallon capacity
Loading moving and lifting pails of finished product up to 5 gallons
Must be able to follow established process instructions and documentation (SOP’s)
Adjustment of in-process material per lab instructions
Filtration of product – when required
Filling off semi-finished and finished product (drums, totes, bulk storage or pails)
Labeling of containers, following established SOP, customer and DOT requirements
Housekeeping (participate in area cleanup, 5S)
Operator must be able to follow all site and area guidelines pertaining to all functions within the plant and assigned tasks. (Examples: breaks / lunch, availability for work, etc.)
Able to train others if required
Qualifications:
A minimum high school or equivalent diploma
Previous experience in manufacturing or chemical industry an asset
Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs and roll 500lb drums. Pre employment medical assessment required thru company
Employment background checks will be done.
Physically fit to wear a respirator as needed, must be clean shaven
Full range of physical motion is required (push, pull, twist, bend, lift, reach up/down)
Ability to read, write English and follow written and verbal instruction in English
Excellent math skills would be beneficial
Strong team player with positive attitude
Fast learner who is self-directed and adaptable to change and frequently shifting priorities
Must hold a valid Mobile Equipment license including Working At Heights
