JOB SUMMARY: The Power Systems General Product Support Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Product Support and works with the Directors of Product Support, Product Support Managers, Product Sales Managers, and other company management and staff departments to ensure the attainment of corporate and manufacturer goals. Operations Management: + Oversee Service Centers and Administrative Personnel. + Align departments with corporate mission, vision, and policies. Financial Management: + Manage accounting functions and control budgets. + Achieve sales revenue and PAD goals within budget. Forecasting & Planning: + Develop long- and short-term forecasts and action plans. + Achieve sales, gross profit, and PADE objectives. Training & Development: + Ensure technical and management training for supervisors. + Develop and execute annual training programs. Sales Promotion: + Assist in developing Parts and Service sales programs. + Collaborate with Product Support Sales Manager on marketing. Customer Relations: + Spend time with customers to build relationships. + Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly. Communication & Coordination: + Hold regular meetings to improve communication. + Maintain communication with all departments and external partners. Process Management: + Establish and review paper flow and processes. + Ensure timely invoicing and work order management. Rebuild & Repair Practices: + Develop rebuild practices and pricing strategies. + Monitor parts reusability and establish repair levels. Technical Communication: + Verify complaints and report product deficiencies. + Organize product improvement programs. Warranty Management: + Oversee warranty recovery and claim performance. + Develop and coordinate warranty activities. Supplier Relations: + Maintain good manufacturing and supplier relations. + Attend annual factory visits or Cat-sponsored meetings. Safety Management: + Follow corporate safety initiatives. + Conduct safety meetings and comply with safety regulations. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: + A high school diploma or equivalent is required. + A bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role within the power systems or related industry. KEY COMPETENCIES: + Technical knowledge of power systems and related equipment is required. + S trong financial acumen and experience managing budgets. + Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Proven ability to develop and execute training programs. + Experience in sales promotion and customer relationship management. + Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance . PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, move occasionally, and sit for an extended period throughout their scheduled working time. The employee will be required to operate office equipment that requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including using a computer keyboard. Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift, push, carry, move, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight, and regular verbal communication to exchange information is necessary. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings, and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
