**1st Shift Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated individuals for two open positions as 1st shift Machine Operators. The shifts are from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm or 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some Saturdays required. This is a contract-to-hire position with a 90-day contract. You will be trained to operate various machines, check small parts for quality defects, and troubleshoot machines while assisting with setups. **Responsibilities** + Operate a variety of machines after receiving training. + Check small parts such as screws and bolts for quality defects. + Run two machines simultaneously depending on workload. + Troubleshoot machines and assist with setups. + Work with epoxy as needed. + Use hand tools to loosen parts. + Change pumps and perform setups on machines after training. + Load and unload parts into a machine. + Apply sealant to fasteners. + Hand feed machines and place parts in boxes for packaging. + Lift up to 40 lbs. + Sort and package parts. + Be cross-trained in other departments. + Perform repetitive tasks while standing in one spot. + Utilize micrometers. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of machine operator experience. + Ability to lift 40 lbs. + Experience using hand tools to set up machines and perform changeovers. + Willingness to work some Saturdays and start shifts at 5:00 am if required. + Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment with loud machinery. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience performing machine changeovers is preferred but not required. + Experience working in a fast-paced environment where thousands of parts are produced is preferred. + Must have steel toe boots. **Why Work Here?** We offer a flexible schedule with optional Saturday work and opportunities to learn and grow in different areas. The average tenure is 10-12 years, with most hires coming from referrals. The facility is not temperature-controlled, but we provide Gatorade and water in the summer to help keep you cool. **Job Type & Location** This is based out of Twinsburg, Ohio **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
