Job Description

This position requires a reliable track record of great attendance, as verified through references. Candidates must be willing to work in a dirty manufacturing environment. You will be working in a custom rubber compounding and mixing facility that has been providing high-quality compounds and service for half a century.

ResponsibilitiesPalletizing rubberCross-training in batching and as a mill helper (unloading rubber after being mixed)Taking long strips of manufactured rubber from the production line and weaving them onto a pallet for shippingOrganizing the pallet by weaving the rubber back and forth neatly and cross-weaving on top of itself multiple timesOnce proficient in the lacing job, cross-training in multiple areas such as batching (pulling ingredients/compounds and weighing based on work orders to create rubber), assisting the mixer, and unloading the mixer for rubber to be cut into specified stripsEssential SkillsPrevious production experienceGo-getter mentalityAdditional Skills & QualificationsForklift operation is a plus, especially sit-down propane forklift (potential to operate after being hired on directly)Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The facility is very dirty due to the production process of making rubber. Contractors will be exposed to rubber 'dust' which will get on their clothes by the end of the day. The facility consists of three buildings, and while you will be working individually at stations, you will be part of a team working to accomplish the day's work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corvallis, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
