SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for directing and training supervisors in all facets including but not limited to production paperwork, yields, time and attendance, discipline, motivation, turnover, absenteeism, safety, problem solving, etc. Accountable for areas of performance, safety, quality, workers compensation, turnover, bid movement, Team Member morale, and other duties as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer ordersEnsuring every position is filled before start-up of production lineOverseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomicsEnsuring all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.Ensuring all workstations have passed USDA InspectionPromoting safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetingsEnsuring accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.Additionally, knowing and communicating company benefits and compensation policies to Team MembersProviding encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possibleCritical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training Retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.Overseeing various processing operations and working with other supervisors in solving problemsKeeping records of reworked or returned productProviding continuous education on the importance of qualityPerforming other responsibilities as the need arises

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:  3 years in a manufacturing environment or poultry and prior supervisory experience preferred.Two years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus; HACCP certification a plus understanding of basic HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification; knowledge of fresh meats processing a plus.Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.Physical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections; fixed ladders stairs steps etc. able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; the temperature in most of the areas range from 28 - 45 degrees.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.Communication Skills: Strong communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management. Special Skills: Team leader problem solving and motivation to take on special projects.Supervisory: Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility; includes managing all production supervisor’s department production schedules product rotation CCP verification schedules and overseeing safety committee; includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop improve deficient areasTravel: Some travel required as needed.
