**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker responsible for operating spooling machines to wind materials such as wires or tubing onto spools for further processing or shipment. The ideal candidate will set up and monitor machines, ensure quality standards, perform inspections, and document production details. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting equipment and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This entry-level opportunity requires at least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or a construction background with mechanical aptitude to operate the spooling equipment. **Responsibilities** + Operate spooling machines to wind materials onto spools. + Set up and monitor machines to ensure proper operation. + Perform quality checks and maintain accurate process/production records. + Follow shop orders for production rates, materials, and products. + Conduct first and last piece inspections and document results. + Monitor parts during production and complete required inspections. + Properly label, account for, and dispose of scrap materials. + Develop technical expertise through hands-on experience with team leaders. + Verify production quality and tooling procedures, documenting results accurately. + Adjust machines and processes with guidance. + Adhere to company procedures and production standards. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or construction. + Mechanical aptitude to operate spooling equipment. + Experience in machine operation, inspection, and packaging. + Ability to document setup procedures and maintain accurate records. + Capability to perform quality checks and follow production rates and materials. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Compliance with company procedures. + Adherence to safety and environmental policies and procedures. + General housekeeping skills. + Ability to stop any process that compromises product quality, personnel safety, or environmental health. + Reporting any policy violations directly to the plant manager. **Why Work Here?** Join a stable company that offers a family environment and a smaller shop feel within a big company. The position operates on the 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. **Job Type & Location** **_This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Niagara Falls, New York._** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
