**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** The role will be in the pet department, focusing primarily on grinding, dicing, and working with raw and cooked meat each day. This position is a flex role, meaning the employee will provide support not just to the Pet platform but can also learn various operations for different business units to build a breadth of capabilities for future development. **Responsibilities** + Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments. + Operate mixing and grinding equipment, following COHE procedures and using hand tools and instructions to assemble the equipment. + Perform basic analytical quality tests, including moisture content tests using NIR (Near-infrared spectroscopy) and temperature readings using a thermometer. + Be agile and able to flex across teams within a platform as work needs shift. + Conduct equipment sanitation and basic equipment setup activities. + Apply basic technical skills in product, process, and/or packaging. + Consistently and repeatedly lift, manipulate, and transport ingredients or equipment, up to 55 lbs. **Essential Skills** + Basic production experience, with food production experience preferred. + Experience with food science/food quality and food GMPs. + Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with people from technical, production, and other backgrounds. + Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Word, Excel, etc. + Ability to work well with individuals and teams; displays a positive attitude. + Excellent judgment and problem-solving ability; flexibility and adaptability. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Demonstrates the following competencies and behaviors: Acts Boldly, Moves Quickly, Influences the Business, Creates Advantaged Connections, Champions Remarkable Products and Solutions, Leverages Global Scale, Drives Global Impact, Advances Technical Possibilities. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a great opportunity to become a long-term employee, with the expectation of conversion to a permanent role after 6 months. The length of the assignment is around 6 months, with the expectation to apply for an internal role if you wish to stay. There is a good chance of an extension to 12 months.
