Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team. This role involves working in various areas of the shop, including mounting, laminating, cutting, and finishing. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of production through careful handling and processing of materials. Flexibility and a willingness to assist in all operations, including cleaning, are essential.

ResponsibilitiesFeed board sheets into the line to apply glue and mount digital printed sheets.Set the correct amount of glue, adjust gaps on rollers, and ensure sheets are firmly pressed during gluing/mounting.Feed sheets into a laminator, ensuring proper heating and processing to laminate different materials.Manually measure and cut sheets to size.Assist in packaging and other labor-oriented finishing tasks.Move between different areas of the shop as needed, providing support in various operations.Essential Skills6+ months of production or manufacturing experience.Proven mechanical aptitude.Ability to lift 70 lbs. with assistance.Additional Skills & QualificationsPositive attitude and flexibility to move around and assist in all shop areas.Reliability and the ability to learn and develop new skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in a standard shop environment that is well-lit and ventilated. While there may be some smell of paint, the area is very well ventilated. The schedule is Monday-Friday, with 1st shift from 7:00am-3:30pm and 2nd shift from 3:00pm-11:30pm. The 2nd shift ends early on Friday around 8:00/8:30pm, making up the hours during the week. 2nd shift employees must train on the 1st shift for approximately 2 weeks before transitioning to their regular shift, depending on how quickly they learn the role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrington, Connecticut.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
