Job Description
Cell Operators will be stationed at their own designated 'Cell' and tasked with taking rubber products for the automotive industry through the production cycle. The process is nearly identical regardless of which cell one is placed in. Operators will be handling molding tools, filling them with raw materials, and conducting quality inspections of the finished products.
ResponsibilitiesFill molding tools with raw materials, including metal rings.Flip the molding tool onto the machine for processing.Remove the molding tool from the machine and use an air brush to cool the product.Inspect the finished rubber products for defects such as air bubbles and rips.Document production details, quality checks, and maintenance activities in a shift log.Ensure quality standards are met by following guidelines outlined in a binder at each cell.Essential SkillsAbility to lift 35lbs 30 times/hour.Ability to stand on feet for full shift.Ability to work safely and follow quality standards.Ability to read and understand English.Attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsNo more than 2 jobs in the last 6 months.Strong communication skills.Enthusiasm about the opportunity.Why Work Here?
We offer a $1500 sign-on bonus, with benefits starting day 1 upon full-time employment. The work environment is climate-controlled, and employees are allowed drinks on the floor as long as they have a cap. Additionally, we provide 11 paid holidays and the opportunity to accrue up to 2 weeks of PTO, plus the option to purchase 5 additional days throughout the year.
Work Environment
Shift options include 2nd shift Monday – Friday (2pm-10pm OR 3pm-11pm) and 3rd shift Sunday – Thursday (10pm-6am OR 11pm-7am). Breaks include a 20-minute break during an 8-hour shift and another 20 minutes during a 12-hour shift. Smoking, tobacco use, and vaping are not allowed on the property. PPE provided includes gloves, safety glasses, and safety sleeves. Operators can wear shorts and regular shoes, and no hearing protection is required. No rings or jewelry allowed, and long hair must be tied back.
