Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team. This role involves working closely with press operators to ensure the efficient running of press machines. The Press Helper will be responsible for inspecting and packaging products, maintaining equipment, and performing general pressroom housekeeping duties. This position requires a strong mechanical inclination and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Successful candidates will receive in-depth training on Flexographic Machines and have the opportunity to advance within the company.
ResponsibilitiesInspect product as it comes off the press at maximum press speeds.Package product as it comes off the press at maximum press speeds.Wash ink pumps, ink trays, and chamber blade units, and place them on appropriate storage carts.Maintain ink pumps, hoses, ink trays, and chamber blade units.Clean and lubricate portable press accessories such as fanfolders, sheeter tables, and turret rewinders.Clean the presses and press areas.Assist press operators in wash-up and set-up.Cut cores.Perform general pressroom housekeeping.Complete any other tasks as requested by the Press Operator or Supervisor.Essential SkillsMechanical inclination and hand dexterity.Ability to read and write.Basic computer skills (input and read data).Stamina to stand all day and perform essential tasks.Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.Desire to grow and advance within the company.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED.Manufacturing experience.Experience with machine operating, set-ups, and adjustments.Flexographic machine operating experience is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a very clean and well-lit manufacturing floor. The manufacturing area is loud when all the press machines are running, so ear plugs are provided. The entire facility is climate-controlled. The manufacturing floor has machines in rows, producing labels and tags of various sizes and styles. The owner and his son are actively involved in production, frequently visiting the manufacturing floor and knowing every operator's name. The average employee tenure is 18 years, and there are many opportunities for advancement as employees learn to operate new machinery.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
