**Job Title: Machine Assistant** **Job Description** You will begin as a Machine Operator for the first few weeks to learn the machines and operations. The Machine Operator will be responsible for overseeing two machines at any given time. Given the variety of products, there is a significant amount of changeover. The machines are large blow mold machines with many automated moving conveyors and mechanical parts. The operation is straightforward as the machine runs itself; you will need to start it, monitor it, catch the bottles and parts, pack, sort, and palletize. **Responsibilities** + Operate and monitor blow mold machines. + Manage machine start-up, monitoring, and shutdown processes. + Catch, pack, sort, and palletize bottles and parts. + Perform frequent changeovers for different products. + Use hand tools and power tools for machine setup and adjustments. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude + Experience with machine operation + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs + Comfortable working around equipment and in a louder work environment **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in manufacturing operations + Ability to be on feet for the entire shift + Potential to train and move into setup technician roles, especially on third shift **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a climate-controlled environment, which is not always available in other molding and blow molding shops. The manufacturing floor is older but climate-controlled with average workspace. There are 13 machines in total, including 11 blow mold machines and 2 stretch mold machines. The environment can be somewhat loud, but ear plugs are provided. Each shift has about 10-15 employees, including one setup technician, one maintenance technician for all three shifts, two team leads, one supervisor per shift, and one general manager-type setup. Available shifts include 1st (7am-3pm Mon-Fri), 2nd (3pm-11pm Mon-Fri), and 3rd (11pm-7am Sun-Thur).
