Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description

Cell Operators will be stationed at their own designated 'Cell' and tasked with taking rubber products for the automotive industry through the production cycle. The process and steps are nearly identical regardless of which cell one is placed in.

ResponsibilitiesTake the molding tool and fill it with raw material. The tool is a flat piece of metal with handles and includes 24-48 slots that must be filled with metal rings.Flip the prepared tool onto the machine and begin filling the slots on the next molding tool.Remove the mold tool from the machine and use an air brush to cool the product down.Flip the tool to knock off the rubber parts onto a table/work station.Visually inspect the products for small defects such as air bubbles or rips in the rubber.Dump the inspected, good products into a bin, weigh them, and move on to the next bin once the correct weight is read.Essential SkillsAbility to lift 35lbs 30 times/hour from a table height up 6 inches, flip, and put back down.Ability to stand on feet for full shift (outside of breaks).Ability to work safely and follow quality standards.Ability to read and understand English.Attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong communication skills.Enthusiasm about the opportunity.No more than 2 jobs in the last 6 months.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Shifts depend on the cell, and once placed on a shift, you won't switch hours around. The 2nd shift runs Monday – Friday (2pm-10pm OR 3pm-11pm), and the 3rd shift runs Sunday – Thursday (10pm-6am OR 11pm-7am). Employees work in 4-hour increments during the week and may be subject to working weekends, with sign-up the previous week. All operators get a 20-minute break during their 8-hour shift and another 20 minutes if they work a 12-hour shift. Employees are not allowed to leave the facility during their shift or sit in their car on-site. Smoking, tobacco products, and vaping are not allowed on the property. Cell operators are provided with gloves, safety glasses, and safety sleeves on-site. They can wear shorts and regular shoes, and no hearing protection is required. No rings or jewelry are allowed, and long hair must be tied back.

The pay range for this position is $22.35 - $22.35
