**Job Title: Production Technician** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated Production Technician to join our team in the manufacturing and production of gas fireplaces. This role involves the use of small hand tools and light power tools to construct sub-assemblies, assemblies, and finished products. You will also be responsible for performing out-box packaging processes and operating production equipment such as flat wash and presses. This position requires working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment for the duration of your shift. **Responsibilities** + Construct sub-assemblies, assemblies, and finished products using small hand tools and light power tools. + Perform out-box packaging processes. + Operate production equipment such as flat wash and presses. + Maintain a fast-paced work speed and handle high-pressure situations. + Ensure the quality of assembled products. + Keep workstations and department clean, neat, and orderly according to 6S standards. **Essential Skills** + Ability to learn and work at a fast pace. + Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred. + Experience with hand or power tools. + Ability to stand on feet for at least ten hours per day. + Ability to read and comprehend standard work instructions. + Effective communication skills in English. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of one year of recent experience working in a fast-paced environment (within the last 18 months). + Minimum of one year of experience utilizing hand or power tools. + Ability to work long hours on feet. **Why Work Here?** Join a team-oriented environment where safety and quality are prioritized. The production workforce of 350 people works in project teams of 15-25 people. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirt, and steel-toe footwear. The factory can become warm during the summer and cool in the winter, so candidates must be able to maintain performance despite temperature fluctuations. Shifts available: 1st shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm (M-TH) and 2nd shift from 5:00pm to 3:30am (M-TH). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake City, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
