**General Production Worker - Batavia, IL** **1st/2nd Shift** **$18/hr+** **Job Description** Candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the general fabrication department. This floating position involves working in different areas including laser cutting, paintline, and assembly. Training will be provided for each role, and candidates must be flexible and willing to learn new tasks as needed. **Responsibilities** + Laser Cutting: Handle sheets of steel, use hand tools to knock out cut pieces, perform visual inspections, and use a deburring/polisher to smooth out edges. + Paintline: Prepare pieces for painting by hanging them on the line, taping off sections, and filling holes. This area is the warmest part of the plant. + Assembly: Assemble pieces using hand and power tools. Tasks are straightforward and require attention to detail. + Be open to learning and performing various roles as needed within the plant. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift 40 lbs + Flexible to learn new tasks and work as a team + 6 months of warehouse or manufacturing experience **Work Environment** The company is not temperature controlled and can get warm, especially near the paintline. The rest of the plant maintains mild conditions typical of a manufacturing floor. There is some noise from machines, but it is not excessively loud.
