Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following all food-related GMP and SOP guidelines, ensuring the packing of items for shipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

ResponsibilitiesFollow all food-related GMP and SOP guidelinesPack items on the lines for shipment (dry powdered contents)Ensure items are not damaged or brokenCorrectly use ingredients for mixing, coulter, APG, etc.Check weights and accurately record all lot and bag numbers usedPractice sanitation of the equipment due to food packagingMaintain a clean work areaConsistently lift 50-55 lbs at waist height or shift weight side to sideWork in confined spaces due to the building's age (such as spiral staircases)Operate in hot non-AC areasUtilize heights (catwalks above machines)Essential SkillsAbility to lift 50-55 lbs consistentlyWillingness to train on forklift usage in the futurePrevious machine operation experience in manufacturingExperience with batch mixing, recipe reading, and packagingMechanically inclinedAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform basic maintenance tasks on machinesKnowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Ability to read and write legiblyMath skills using decimals and fractionsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a large, older-style brick manufacturing building. The facility is food-grade and GMP required. The environment can be hot in some areas, although the mixing area is air-conditioned. Shifts are varied, including 2nd shift operator, night inclusions relief, short-term mixer day, and various packer/mixer shifts on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The workweek is Monday to Wednesday with potential OT on Thursday. Steel-toed boots are required, and no jewelry or loose items can be worn for safety reasons.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.75
