General Production Worker
**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** Candidates will be responsible for palletizing and shrink-wrapping products, as well as cleaning and sanitizing workstations. They will move products and materials with a manual pallet jack and weigh products before transporting them to the warehouse. Candidates will also read and record digital weights on a small scale, and move bags weighing up to 50 lbs, with assistance for weights over 50 lbs. Additionally, candidates will push and pull bowls weighing up to 1,000 lbs on wheels, moving at least 8 bowls per shift. This position is very physically demanding. **Responsibilities** + Palletizing and shrink-wrapping products. + Cleaning and sanitizing workstations. + Moving products and materials with a manual pallet jack. + Weighing products before transporting them to the warehouse. + Reading and recording digital weights on a small scale. + Moving bags weighing up to 50 lbs, with assistance for weights over 50 lbs. + Pushing and pulling bowls weighing up to 1,000 lbs on wheels, moving at least 8 bowls per shift. **Essential Skills** + Experience in a general labor, construction, manufacturing, or general labor environment within the last 5 years. + 1 year of continuous employment with the same company in the last 5 years. + Ability to stand for up to 8-12 hours per day, verified through past experience and references. + Willingness and ability to drive a forklift. + Ability to lift 50 lbs, verified through past experience and references. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preferred: High School Diploma or GED. + Experience with tape measure, cleaning, loading, sweeping, machine operation, sorting, production, manufacturing, food production, general labor, assembly, hand tools, packaging, general production, construction, packing, forklift, and power tools. **Why Work Here?** Join a small-town, family-like environment with a focus on safety and good manufacturing practices. Safety and adherence to GMPs are highly prioritized. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, hair nets, eye protection, jeans, shirts, bump caps, and lab coats. Employees must follow good manufacturing practices, which include no smoking or tobacco products, no perfume or cologne, no fingernail polish, no jewelry or piercings, and clothing must be free of rips, tears, holes, or added embellishments. The facility can be hot in the summer, reaching up to 90 degrees in some manufacturing rooms, but is comfortable in winter. Hours are 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (M-Th) and 4:00 pm - 2:30 am (M-Th), with mandatory overtime on Fridays. Employees must arrive 15 minutes prior to their shift for temperature screening, and this time is paid. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owatonna, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
