**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** The chosen candidate will be wearing multiple hats in the facility. They will be cross-trained on all processes in the facility. There are currently two openings. This person will work both inside and outside in a non-climate-controlled environment. The two main jobs involve ensuring that the bags are filled to the appropriate level with material and then moved onto a pallet for shipment. Additionally, they will ensure some of the hoppers have an appropriate amount of material. They will use forklifts and other types of material handling equipment to load the machines with material prior to packaging for shipment. They will also take the sacks and put them at the end of the machine so that they can be fed with material. **Responsibilities** + Lifting 50lbs consistently throughout the day + Breaking down raw material + Filling sacks and stacking on pallets for forklift operator + Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment + Ensuring hoppers have an appropriate amount of material + Loading machines with material prior to packaging **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of forklift operating experience + Math skills for weighing out materials + Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, skid steers, and bobcats + Ability to lift 50+ pounds + Proven reliability and attendance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Leadership experience + Experience as a farm hand + Railroad experience **Why Work Here?** Once the employee meets the required time (90 days), they will become full-time with great employee benefits, PTO, and more. There is a chance the candidate will be brought on direct earlier than the 90-day period. **Work Environment** This is not a climate-controlled facility. It is also dirty on the shop floor (more so dusty). This position may require some outside work of the shop. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
