General Production Worker
**Description** Our Client in Windsor, CT has hiring needs for coating operators. Please see job duties below: - Operation generally involves the loading of a jumbo roll onto unwind, adjusting machine components for the specific product, slitting and rewinding continuous strips of adhesive product onto core - Obtains work orders from the supervisor, as required Labeling of product and cartons - Packing of product into or onto the correct corrugate packaging. - Responsible for the timely production of quality products in accordance with established standards. - Ensures that all aspects of the operation perform in accordance with ISO Procedures. - Acquires material specified in the work order BOM Loading of jumbo onto the unwind General set up of the specified equipment to the specified product being manufactured - Prior to start up performs required safety checks and inspection - Documents all required information of the work following established inventory procedures and oversees proper documentation for the work cell - - - - Required to efficiently produce all types of adhesive products Inspects finished product for defects and sets aside scrap - Performs minor maintenance duties and repairs, as required Responsible for cell housekeeping and assists with general department housekeeping, as required Promotes teamwork. X1 Coating Opeartors Schedule of 6:00 pm - 6:00 am, Tuesday - Friday. *** Training will be on first shift for up to 6 months*** Both positions have the potential of additional hours scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Culture is huge so candidate must have a good attitude, show up everyday, and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment) - Ideal candidate would have at least 6 months of operating experience (Extrusion operators typically do well in this environment, specifically candidates from Nuway Tobacco) - If candidate doesn't have previous operating experience then mechanical skills are a must -Must have basic mathematical skills, must be good with fractions -Must be comfortable standing for long periods of times -Must be able to lift up to 50lbs -Must have strong attention to detail -Must have SD (static Dissipative ) safety shoes, especially in our coating dept. This shoes are design to minimize the amount of static electricity build up on our body -Must be flexible to move to a Tuesday-Friday schedule Schedule- 6pm-6am Monday -Thursday 10% differential **Experience Level** Expert Level **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
