**Job Title: General Production Worker**
**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated and mechanically inclined individuals to join our team as General Production Workers. As a Conversion Technician or Films Technician, you will be responsible for the conversion of micro-prism films, managing material flow, and ensuring product conformance through regular quality checks. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
**Responsibilities**
+ Convert micro-prism films and manage material flow to and from machines.
+ Load and unload film on machines, slit material to required widths and lengths, and perform splices.
+ Follow all ISO documentation requirements.
+ Monitor machines, make adjustments as needed, and conduct quick quality checks to ensure product conformance.
+ Monitor and record pressure and ranges as required.
+ Process work orders in the ERP system.
+ Retrieve chemicals and materials needed for the process.
+ Enter maintenance requests in the Computer Maintenance Management System.
+ Maintain documentation of all required machine reports.
+ Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mechanical aptitude in some capacity.
+ 6 months or more experience in an industrial environment.
+ Preferably, experience in assembly or machine operating.
+ Open to candidates with trade school experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with production, machine operation, assembly, general labor, and packaging.
+ Familiarity with hand tools, tape measures, power tools, and mechanical processes.

**Work Environment**
Our manufacturing floor operates on three shifts and features various types of machines for the conversion of micro-prism films. The facility is clean, high-tech, well-lit, and spacious. Training schedules are primarily on 1st shift for up to four months. Regular shifts include: 1st (M-F, 6:00am-2:00pm), 2nd (M-F, 2:00pm-10:00pm), and 3rd (Sun-Thu, 10:00pm-6:00am). Some overtime may be available but is not mandatory. We are expanding with an additional building that will nearly double our size. PPE such as steel or composite-toed shoes and safety glasses are required, with hearing protection needed in certain areas.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avon, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
