The position works independently under the direction of the Facility Coordinator and the Facility Director. Responsibilities include modular furniture installations and modifications. Assisting with various facility repair, maintenance, and other facility related requests such as office moves, repairs of equipment, ergonomic adjustments to furniture and workstations or space. Assist the facility coordinator on special projects as needed or directed by FAS or agency leadership. **Minimum Qualifications** + Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in general repair, use of power tools, and troubleshooting for various equipment repair. + Experience assembling/disassembling, reconfiguring and moving modular office furniture. + Knowledge of, or capable of being trained in, the care, safety and operation of power tools and equipment. + Must be able to communicate effectively and receive and carry out assignments with understanding and commitment to a diverse clientele. + Respectfully engage with clients, coworkers, and customers, when handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes. **Preferred Qualifications** + Ability to work independently. + Time management skills and the ability to prioritize. **Physical Requirements** Heavy: Requires moving and transporting 100 pounds maximum with frequently moving and transporting objects such as 50-pound bags. This job also may require positioning self to move to a significant degree across rough terrain, under objects or into small spaces, or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
