**Job Description**
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing semi-skilled jobs in a variety of trade areas and for the upkeep of the lawns, sidewalks, entryways and parking ramp/lot services.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of motorized equipment and tools sufficient to operate them and perform simple repair and maintenance on them.
+ Knowledge of methods of lawn and garden care sufficient to mow, fertilize, weed, seed and sod as necessary.
+ Knowledge of construction sufficient to construct and repair simple structures.
+ Knowledge of general methods of practices of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry trades.
+ Ability to perform semi-skilled work in a number of trade areas and to assist with more difficult work.
+ Ability to operate, maintain and make ordinary repairs of tools, machinery and equipment.
+ Ability to follow and respond to oral and written instructions and communications.
**Physical Requirements**
+ This person must be able to work on their feet for eight hours a day, lift up to thirty-five pounds on a regular basis, up to fifty pounds on an occasional basis, must be able to stoop, kneel, push, pull, work above the shoulders, walk stairways, and to climb ladders.
**Additional Requirements**
In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position.

**Pay Range**
General Maintenance Repair Worker: $26.37 – $30.35 hourly / $55,061 – $63,371 annually.
