General Store Manager
Responsible to create the Vera Bradley experience through overall store operations and sales management. Responsibilities include exceptional customer service, visual merchandising, staff management, development and training, upholding store image standards, general store operations, and sales goal achievement.

Develop Vera Bradley loyalty by creating an outstanding experience for both associates and customersHire, train, motivate and retain a team of qualified associates that communicate and represent the Vera Bradley philosophyResponsible for the maintenance of the payroll budget and manage controllable expenses to maximize profitabilityLead the team with exceptional sales and strong presence while on the floor and communicating the Vera Bradley brand aesthetic, philosophy and lifestyle to the sales associates and guestsAct as a liaison to home office in determining policies and procedures specific to outlet storesUphold the Vera Bradley brand standards through exceptional visual merchandisingOversee daily, weekly, monthly processes to ensure operational integrityMonitor onsite and offsite inventory to achieve ideal balance of top selling items in physical store location to maximize sales opportunityProvide a clean, organized and inviting environment for both customers and associatesManage all human resource related tasks including recruiting, onboarding and I-9 compliance, performance management, payroll and scheduling, health and safety, and store securityMaintain a leadership role in the community

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh School Graduate or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management  or related field preferredPrior retail experience strongly preferred2+ years management experience required; or proven Vera Bradley management ability requiredExperience in specialty retail or outlet stores strongly preferredExperience with retail POS system a plus
