A position at Xcel Energy could be just what you’re looking for. **Position Summary** Provides leadership and direction to specific discipline shops (Electrical, Instrument & Control, Mechanical and Planning) in the Maintain the Plant organizations through the coordination of work activities and alignment of resources for both outage and on-line work. Responsible for reinforcing safe work practices and control of the maintenance department budget. Periodically fills in for discipline Maintenance Manager or Online Manager as required. **Essential Responsibilities** + Serve as the site management owner for the direction, coordination and performance of the assigned work group. + Ownership of all maintenance/planning processes and programs. + Maintenance representative for site/fleet initiatives. + Provide oversight and reinforce standards and expectations for safe work practices per company Safety policies and procedures. + Review and approve all budget and authorization forms prepared by individuals under his/her direction and monitor projects under his supervision with respect to authorized expenditure levels and effective performance. + Develop personnel under their direction. + Performing, assigning, and approving Action Requests that relate to the areas described above. + Participate in the Emergency Response organization. **Minimum Requirements** + Ten years responsible maintenance and/or engineering related experience, at least 7 years of which has been spent in positions in nuclear power. + A working knowledge of power plant systems is required. + Previous supervisory experience is required with demonstrated effective leadership experience. + Individual must meet ANSI /ANS 3.1 - 1978 Section 4.3.2 requirements for maintenance management and be able to be part of the site Emergency Response Organization. **Preferred Requirements** + Previous operator license or certification is desirable.
