GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST (TITLE 32)
Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0865000 and is part of the NC USPFO, National Guard (USPFO-SSD / 1626-702). Responsibilities As a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, GS-2001-11, you will exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities; develop plans, programs, and policies for the operation, management, and administration of current and projected organizational programs; develop draft policies, concepts, and procedures to ensure that an effective operation is maintained using personnel, equipment, and funding to support the mission; ensure coordination with the other state USPFO, USPFO branches and state activities and units for material support for projects, operations, or programs including works such as: equipment fielding, commercial non-standard equipment authorizations and distribution; provide guidance regarding logistic inventory control and conducting surveys of logistic supplies and inventory management functions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY RANK: Enlisted (E8 - E9) Warrant Officer (CW2 - CW4) or Officer (1LT - CPT) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (Must have 36 months of experience), or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
