The population of Manchester is approximately 1,300 with nearly 20,000 people living in Clay County. Clay County is within reasonable driving distance larger cities such as Lexington, Louisville, Cincinnati, Knoxville, Asheville and Nashville.
The ideal candidate will be/have:
Active KY medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)
At least 3-5 years of experience
Comfortable with patients of all ages & bread and butter general surgery
Proficiency with minor office-based procedures
Willing to take call hours
Experience with supervising Advanced Practice Providers (APRN & PA-C)
Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include early morning and/or evening hours
Willingness to analyze practice finances
Interest in the opportunity to advance into leadership and governance roles
Interest in activities and opportunities for strategy development for general surgery
Active interest in network development and connecting our network and strategy through primary care locations
