Job Title: General Surgeon Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana   Introduction:  Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for General Surgeons to partner with us in providing temporary contracted medical services within the Veteran Affairs Healthcare Systems throughout the United States. Today’s posting will place you at the primary location of the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center. This opportunity allows employees to work with the federal government, offering competitive compensation and a strong work-life balance.  Hospital: Fort Wayne VA Medical Center Location:  United States, Fort Wayne, IN Qualifications: Education + Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed Board Certification + Board-certified/postgraduate certified by an appropriate body following the successful completion of specialist training in General Surgery, or equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years’ progressive post specialist qualification License + Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Must be board-certified to qualify + DEA License Required  + NPI Required  Experience + A minimum of three (3) years of progressive post-qualification clinical experience to include experience in Damage Control Surgery + Minimum of two (2) years of current experience, actively practicing in specialty, post-board certification Certification + Current, Current, valid American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS required Benefits:  + Virtual Interviews + Variable of locations throughout the United States.  + Contract: Year-long assignment  + Hours of Performance: Duty hours will vary by position and location; however, typical duty hours are scheduled between 0700 -1700, Monday through Friday.
