SUMMARY The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) manages the human resource function for the store operations in assigned regions to include staffing analysis, positive employee relations, training and development, recruiting and retention, and regulatory environment compliance. The HRG consults with and advises multi-level store operations managers to ensure all qualitative measures of people management are met. POSITION REQUIREMENTS The HRG must be an effective leader with excellent communication skills, strong decision making ability, results driven, self-motivated with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, while maintaining confidentiality. The HRG must have automotive parts knowledge, the ability to excel in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment. HRG must have the ability to maintain a positive environment that attracts, develops and engages AutoZoners, generates sales, and maximizes profitability. It is essential for the HRG to build and maintain a positive and productive relationship with AutoZoners at all levels. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · + Supports AutoZone’s non-union policy and maintains a union free environment + Facilitates new hire orientation, development and training + Ensures all managers follows AutoZone’s company policies, accident procedures, and loss prevention procedures + Assists with recruiting and staffing to ensure stores are staffed to meet customer service requirements and diversity standards + Communicates, interprets and implements company policies and guidelines and ensures AutoZoner adherence + Supports talent acquisition initiatives and contributes to recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, selecting and training high caliber store personnel throughout the region + Assists with building and maintaining professional relationships with trade schools, military job placement centers and employment agencies + Demonstrates customer focus and service orientation with the ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment + Manages multiple priorities simultaneously as well as see projects through independently is essential + Facilitates Parts Pro Training for assigned regions + Informs Divisional Human Resource Manager on all matters that can adversely impact the HR compliance of the region, divisional and company + Assists with performing frequent store visits and utilizes the Field HR Store Visit – Job Aid. Performs store visits with the Regional Team and addresses employee relations concerns in a timely, and as needed basis + Ensures fair and equal employment opportunities for AutoZoners and applicants + Assists with investigating AutoZoner complaints and concerns in a timely manner Qualifications + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in HR management or business administration + Two to three years professional level Human Resources experience + Effective communicator, written and verbal, dealing with all levels of organization on a daily basis + Automotive Parts Knowledge a plus + Bilingual in Spanish a plus + 80% Travel including air travel and frequent overnight stays Benefits at AutoZone AutoZone cares about people.
