Upon completion of the announced merger with The Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. (“Queen”), the above portfolio is expected to be supplemented with four additional casinos across three states, one of which will be an additional state that expands Bally’s jurisdiction of operations to include the state of Iowa. Queen will also add over 900 employees, and operations that currently include approximately 2,400 slot machines, 50 table games, and 150 hotel rooms to the Bally’s portfolio. Bally’s will also become the successor of Queen’s significant economic stake in a global lottery management and services business through its investment in Intralot S.A. (ATSE: INLOT).
The RoleThe human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR leadership while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. This position carries out responsibilities in the following areas with a main focus on talent acquisition, employee relations/investigations, employee engagement, and employment law compliance
Responsibilities Supports the internal and external recruitment efforts for the property, developing sourcing strategies and community partnerships to garner top talent Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding initiatives, to include new hire orientation Assists in conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations Assists in providing performance management guidance to property leadership (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation consistent with policies, and State and Federal regulations Analyzes onboarding and exit surveys, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in processes Assists with design and execution of engagement, wellness and retention events, to include back of house branding initiatives Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters. Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR or other relevant degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three years HR experience preferred. PHR, SPHR certification preferred. Proficient computer skills including MS Office software. Ability to work with various levels of the organization to develop and influence the culture. Highly effective communication and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational skills, presentation skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Exceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality results. Demonstrated knowledge of state, local and federal labor laws and regulations related to HR.
