Who You Are

Assists the General Foreman by providing input to identify key success factors for Power Generation crew. Provides leadership to cause the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of Power Generation services, quality, subcontractor performance, and construction cost. Evaluates Power Generation service execution for compliance to contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors on to go scope. Maintains the short range look ahead plans and discusses all deviations with the General Foreman. Reviews and monitors cost and man-hour budget for installation process develops an equipment and tool requirement plan and reviews it with the General Foreman.

This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA.  This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award

What You’ll Do

As a Generator Specialist, you will:

Assist in Leadership and Planning: Provide input to the General Foreman to identify key success factors for the Power Generation crew, assisting in leadership and strategic planning efforts.

Develop Organizational Structure: Help in creating and organizing the structural and process requirements necessary to fully execute Power Generation services effectively.

Ensure Service Execution: Oversee the execution of Power Generation services, ensuring that all activities meet contractual agreements, design specifications, schedules, and budget constraints.

Monitor Subcontractor Performance: Supervise and evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure their work meets all expected standards of quality and efficiency.

Evaluate Compliance and Quality: Regularly assess the quality and compliance of Power Generation service execution against contractual obligations and industry standards.

Advise on Project Status: Provide updates and advisories to the project team regarding the status of Power Generation tasks, including issues, impacts, risks, and factors influencing costs.

Maintain and Review Plans: Keep and regularly update short-range look-ahead plans, discussing any deviations or necessary adjustments with the General Foreman.

Monitor Costs and Man-hours: Review and monitor the cost and man-hour budget for the installation process, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Develop Equipment and Tool Plans: Develop plans for equipment and tool requirements necessary for Power Generation projects and review these plans with the General Foreman to ensure all needs are met.

Implement Quality Control Measures: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure high standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure that the Power Generation services are aligned with the overall project objectives and timelines.

Other duties as required

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.

Relevant Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in power generation, including direct experience with the types of generators and systems used by the organization.

OEM certification or equivalent required.

Leadership Experience: Experience in a supervisory or management role, demonstrating the ability to lead a team and manage projects effectively.

Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.

Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.

Clearance: Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
