The Department of Molecular & Medical Genetics has an immediate opening for a full-time (1.0 FTE) genetic counselor specializing in general and pediatric genetics. The selected candidate will join our genetics team and be actively involved in genetic counseling services, including in-person patient care and telehealth. The counselor will participate in overall coordination of patient care including intake, assessment, counseling, test coordination, and follow-up. Our genetic counselors are involved in several pediatric and adult multidisciplinary clinics, working in partnership with care teams and medical geneticists. In addition to direct patient care, our genetic counselors serve a primary role in education to medical trainees, genetic counseling students and other health care providers. Participation in research and publication is also encouraged.
