Genetic Counselor
Under limited supervision, performs genetic counseling for cancer risk assessment and prenatal diagnosis. Determines the appropriate genetic tests for at-risk individuals/families. Acts as a liaison between the patient/family, the testing laboratory, and the referring physician; conveys the results of genetic testing to the patient/family and the referring physician.Education: Graduation from an American Board of Genetic Counseling-certified genetic counselor training program, with a Masters’ degree in genetic counseling. Licensure: Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or eligibility for such certification. Experience: Two years of relevant experience preferred. Skills: • Knowledge of genetic counseling theories, therapies and techniques of casework process • Skill in needs analysis • Skill in grant writing and management • Detail oriented with excellent telephone, analytical, organization and time management skills • Collaboration with clinical staff regarding challenging patient needs • Skill in data analysis and interpretation • Strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range

$55,400.42 - $88,640.67

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
