Job Summary To provide comprehensive genetic counseling services to individuals and families seeking information about genetic conditions and to provide risk assessment. The genetic counselor practices as a part of a genetic service team, communicating genetic, medical and technical information with the knowledege and insight into the psychosocial and cultural experiences important to each patient and family. The lead genetic counselor has additional leadership responsibilities including training and oversight of learners, organization of work flow, and coordination of daily operations of the team.
