Technical Advising on GEOINT Mission Systems: Serves as the government’s technical advisor for GEOINT mission systems, from spacecraft bus and payloads, command and control and processing systems, to various operational constructsIdentifying Mission Needs: Assist the government in identifying mission needs, operational concepts, and requirements to effectively influence acquisition and budget effortsAssess integration activities in the context of cross-systems dependencies (technical, resource, and schedule) and present unbiased findings, analysis, and recommendations to government managersTechnical Assessments: Provide “ground truth” technical assessments of project or system reviews, milestones, and/or decision gates; identify risks, issues, opportunities, mitigations; represent the government’s interests with other stakeholdersSystems Engineering and Integration Studies: Support government requests for systems engineering and integration studies, process analysis and design, project management assessments, etc.; provide analysis, recommendations, and take necessary actionsGovernment Staff Work Needs: Support the development or assessment of system Concept of Operations, Requirements Documents, Test Plans, Contract Statements of Work, Systems Engineering Plans, as well as contribute to the “staff work” needs of the government (e.g., action items, weekly reports, etc.) to include support to government acquisitions and source selectionsCollaboration with Customers: Proactively collaborate with government personnel and other contractors (often across multiple sites and organizational levels) to provide unbiased analysis and recommendations on courses of actions to address risks/issues or approaches to exploit an opportunityWork Environment:

Clearance: TS/SCI with a PolygraphEducation: Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)Experience: 3 years relevant experienceSpacecraft Systems and Subsystems: Technical knowledge of spacecraft systems (bus, payload) and subsystems (attitude and control systems, propulsion, life support systems, etc.), ground communications and mission data processing systems, space vehicle mission planning and command and control systemsOrbital Mechanics: Knowledge of orbital mechanics and associated analytical toolsGEOINT Mission: Experience with GEOINT mission (ground and space) systemsMission Readiness: Familiar with mission readiness process, control gates, and associated entry/exit criteriaSelf-starter: Forward thinking self-starter who proactively addresses customer requirements without supervision; readily defines solutions for broad, abstract topicsCollaboration and Coordination: Polished, persuasive communicator (written/verbal), master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builderInterpersonal Skills: Impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment—confident interacting with highest levels of government senior executivesDigital Engineering and MBSE: Familiar with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile development, cloud technologiesDesired:
