Job Title: Geologist
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Geologist to join our team. The role involves performing fieldwork such as soil, soil gas, surface water, air monitoring, and groundwater sampling. You will be involved in drilling and contractor oversight, remediation treatment system operation and maintenance, soil boring logging, monitoring well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring. You will also prepare soil boring and well construction logs, evaluate chemical and hydrogeological data, and manage data analysis and database tasks using AutoCAD and GIS applications.

This position involves working with an environmental team that provides assessment and remediation services for retail, commercial, industrial, aerospace, and government projects. The role requires approximately 70% fieldwork, with project lengths and time in the field varying from 1-3 weeks. Most job sites are located in Illinois and Northwest Indiana, with occasional overnight travel (about 30% overnight travel). You will use your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement and per diem for overnight travel, and a company truck is provided for longer-term projects. The role offers opportunities for career growth into a Project Manager position, allowing you to take projects from start to finish.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00
