We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Geologist to join our dynamic team in a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful infrastructure and environmental projects while applying your expertise in geology to ensure project success. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Geological Research & Analysis:** + Conduct and manage geologic research to gather, analyze, and interpret data related to site conditions, subsurface properties, and geological hazards. + Identify and evaluate potential geological impacts of proposed development or infrastructure projects, including hazards such as soil stability, seismic risks, and groundwater conditions. + **Field Investigations & Data Collection:** + Plan, assist with, and manage field investigations to gather geological data, including soil sampling, rock analysis, and geophysical surveys. + Work closely with field teams to monitor site conditions, ensuring accurate data collection and safety during fieldwork. + **Technical Reporting & Mitigation:** + Develop and assist in the creation of technical reports, including geologic maps, cross-sections, and stratigraphic columns, documenting findings and providing recommendations for mitigating geological risks. + Prepare and review reports to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. + **Geologic Mapping & Data Evaluation:** + Map and evaluate geological data to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues related to project sites. + Use specialized tools and software for mapping and modeling geological features and subsurface conditions. + **Collaboration & Consultation:** + Work with project teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and construction managers, to integrate geological data into project designs and risk assessments. + Provide consultation and technical support on geological aspects of project planning and execution. **Minimum Qualifications:** + **Educational Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field. + Master's degree in Geology or related fields is preferred. + **Certifications & Licensure:** + Relevant professional licensure (such as Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) or State of California Geologist), or eligibility to obtain licensure is preferred. + Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission (ANSAC) of ABET Certification or similar geological certification is a plus. + **Experience & Skills:** + Strong experience in field investigations, data collection, and geological site assessments. + Proficiency in preparing and interpreting geologic maps, cross-sections, stratigraphic columns, and other geological documentation. + Experience using geological software and tools for data analysis, modeling, and reporting. + Familiarity with geotechnical and environmental regulations and their application in project development. **Compensation:** $72k-$96k The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law.
