Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Geologist to conduct fieldwork including soil, soil gas, surface water, air monitoring, and groundwater sampling. The role involves drilling and contractor oversight, remediation treatment system operation and maintenance, and the preparation of soil boring and well construction logs. You will evaluate chemical and hydrogeological data, perform data analysis, and manage databases using AutoCAD and GIS applications. Additionally, you will design and implement sampling plans, pilot test designs, and bench scale testing programs, and support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Transaction Screening Assessments.

This position involves working on environmental assessment and remediation services for various projects, including large, complex sites such as RCRA and CERCLA “Superfund” Sites. Initial projects will require travel to Columbus, Ohio, with alternating travel schedules. Fieldwork may comprise up to 70% of the role, with project lengths and time in the field varying. After the initial project, most job sites are in Illinois and Northwest Indiana, with occasional overnight travel. A company vehicle is provided for longer-term projects, and mileage reimbursement and per diem are available for overnight travel. The position offers growth opportunities to become a Project Manager and work under experienced professionals (PG and PE).

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00
