Your Role: As the GeoMaterials Laboratory Technician, you will: + Conduct comprehensive tests on soils, coarse and fine aggregates, aggregate base courses, and other materials to meet NCDOT standards. + Serve as a lead resource, overseeing lower-level lab technicians and coordinating with contractor and department personnel. + Input test data into HiCAMS and maintain an internal Microsoft Excel database for accurate reporting. + Assist in arranging daily work schedules for lab technicians across various testing stations. + Maintain an inventory of laboratory equipment, ensuring all equipment is in excellent working condition, including coordinating routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements. + Perform and manage the routine calibration of testing equipment.
